This August, join other reef-friendly divers! Embark on an award-winning liveaboard to explore the most pristine sites of the Red Sea. We love the founders' commitment to developing safe and fun liveaboard trips in Egypt for the past 30 years. We'll do up to 21 dives in the world-famous sites of Elphinstone, Fury Shoals, and St John's reefs. The team will make sure they take you to the best entry points for every site. With port fees, marine park fees, and free Nitrox, this is the best value trip of the Red Sea!

Conservation

The company opened the first PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Centre in Egypt in 1992. The team conducts regular ocean clean-ups and supports numerous NGOs such as Sea Save Foundation, the Turtle Foundation, Green Fins, and more.

Who Is It For?

An Advanced certification and about 25 dives are recommended for this itinerary. It's possible to do the certification onboard; ask us.

Marine Life

Egypt's reefs are home to over a thousand fish species, 20% of which are endemic to the Red Sea. With varied topography, stunning wrecks, and incredible marine life, Egypt caters to all levels of divers. Get ready to drift dive on dramatic walls and pinnacles.
If you go to the South, you'll see some exciting pelagic life with thresher sharks, oceanic whitetips, and some hammerhead sharks!
In the deep-south, near Sudan, keep an eye out for bottlenose dolphins, hammerheads again, leopard sharks, manta rays, and more!

Season: The best time to dive in the southern Red Sea is from May to September
Currents: Little to medium currents
Visibility: 15 to 35 m (50 to 115 ft)
Water Temperature: 28° to 30°C (82° to 86°F)
Depth: Shallow and deep dives

Dive Sites

In Southern Red Sea, Elphinstone Reef is one of the most famous dive sites. The reefs are healthier in the South than in the North, and the topography is varied, with deep walls, tunnels, and even a few wrecks to look at!
In Deep South Red Sea, St. John's Reef and the marine parks of Zabargad and Rocky islands are relatively remote and not visited frequently by liveaboards. The area offers what is considered the most spectacular diving in Egypt with varied topography and some big pelagic life as you get closer to Sudan.

Safety Information

Equipment Recommended: A rashguard or a 3mm wetsuit, and the usual diving equipment
Insurance: Both dive insurance and travel insurance are mandatory. We recommend DAN Europe that has plans to cover both - ask us for a quote

Visas, Flights, and More!

Visa Requirements

You must have a passport valid for at least six months, and create an e-Visa Application for Egypt at least 7 days before departure
Tourist visa is granted for up to thirty days.

How to Get There

Fly to Marsa Alam (RMF) international airport.
The liveaboard team will pick you up at 6pm at the airport, and drop you off at the airport around 10 am on the last day.
We recommend a day-use hotel if you land early on the first day, and the team will pick you up there before taking you to the liveaboard.
