I was lucky and got the chance to go on a liveaboard with Coralia last November to Raja Ampat to explore the southern and central part. I had the best time with the crew, which was always in a good mood and helped you out with everything. The diving was exceptional, the reefs were beautiful and our Dive Guide Billy was awesome at spotting all the little creatures and we saw a lot! The boat itself is beautiful and very traditional, but it was spacious and the rooms were luxurious! The bed was the most comfortable one I had in my 11 months of travelling! The food was more than amazing. Everyday there was a mixture of indonesian and western european cuisine and it was delicious! I guess all of us gained some weight even though we were diving 4 times a day! For me it was one of my highlights and I'm so happy that I got the chance to go on a liveaboard with coralia and hopefully I can join them again next year! And thank you Isabelle that you made it possible and answering all my stupid questions no matter at what time of the day! Would definitely recommend booking Coralia with Seacrush!

My first time in raja ampat, 6th liveaboard. Coralias diving logistics, organization and attention to detail was next level. Each dive was capped at 70 min, and nitrox for all, plus rooms were extra large, and the vibes were welcoming. Only slight disappointment was realizing the boats sails are for show. Cannot actually sail! Would def return to the boat on a diff itinerary! Seacrush Isabelle was very helpful with my questions and booking process was very easy!! (Solo female from Canada) Wen

Why We Love It

This stunning boat will take you to the best dive sites of Raja Ampat. It is one of the destinations where you can see plenty of pelagic life, a very rich macro life, and very healthy coral reefs! Besides spectacular diving, you'll sail through breathtaking landscapes such as Wayag in the North (Raja Ampat's iconic island formations), or Teluk Cinta in the Misool area (an amazingly beautiful heart-shaped lagoon). We love the spacious diving deck, the relaxing upper deck lounge, and the masters' cabins' panoramic windows. With a one-to-one guest-to-staff ratio, you'll be well taken care of aboard this boat!

Conservation

This beautiful phinisi ("Indonesian-style ship") has been custom-built in Sulawesi by the Konjo tribe, who have been building ships for centuries. This partner hires and trains locals on as many jobs as possible and is a supporter of Raja Ampat SEA center. The team avoids single-use plastic and only uses reef-friendly detergents and bathroom amenities, as well as biodegradable garbage bags. They are really setting the bar for sustainability!

Who Is It For?

This is premium "bucket-list diving," so if you've seen it all, you'll appreciate the natural beauty. Currents can be strong, and that may appeal to some people who enjoy a challenge! Non-divers are welcome and can take part in various activities such as hiking to viewpoints with spectacular panoramas, kayaking, snorkeling, stand-up paddling, and massages.

Prices and Dates

Take note of the different cruise lengths. Longer cruises usually go to Raja Ampat North and South (Misool), while most shorter trips are focused on North Raja Ampat. Ask us for detailed itineraries!

Marine Life

  • At the heart of the Coral Triangle
  • 1427 reef fish, over 600 coral species, 75% of the world’s coral species
  • Abundant pelagic life: many species of reef sharks, white and black tips, wobbegong sharks, bamboo sharks, reef mantas at nearby cleaning stations, and majestic oceanic mantas in open water
  • Large schools of tuna, trevally, mackerel, batfish, surgeonfish, angel and butterflyfish, napoleon wrasse, bumpheads, giant sweetlips, damsels, fusiliers, anthias, etc. and also magnificent macro with the rare pygmy seahorses.

Dive Conditions

  • Season: high season is from October to April, when plankton blooms reduce visibility but bring greater numbers of manta rays
  • Currents: strong and changing - some dive sites are not suitable for beginners or anyone who doesn’t feel comfortable in currents
  • Visibility: 15 bis 20 m (nutrient-rich water leads to reduced visibility)
  • Water Temperature: 28° bis 29°C
  • Depth: both deep and shallow dives

Dive Sites

  • The Dampier Strait in the North (also known as "Augusta's Strait") hosts some of the best diving in the area with well-known sites such as: Manta Point, Cape Kri, Mioskon, Odtima, The Passage, Mike’s Point, Sardines Reef, Blue Magic, Chicken Reef, and Hidden Bay, The Passage

  • Misool, a Marine Protected Area in South Raja Ampat, has amazing dive sites too, such as Sagof, Daraam, Boo, Fiabecet, Wayilbatan. You'll dive on a busy manta cleaning station, coral-covered walls, reef flats, swim-throughs, gentle sea mounts, drift dives, vast hard-coral gardens, placid lagoons, current-raked pinnacles...

  • Dive sites may change according to local conditions

  • For trips to Komodo, Maumere, Ambon, Alor, Forgotten Islands & Banda, contact us!

  • Insurance: Both dive insurance and travel insurance are mandatory. We recommend DAN Europe that has plans to cover both - ask us for a quote.
  • Nearest Hyperbaric Chamber: Darwin, Australia or Manado, Sulawesi - note that there is a chamber in Raja Ampat, but it is not certified or compliant with international standards
