This is an overdue review for an excellent time aboard Emporer Divers boat in the Red-sea. Food was great, Crew was very professional and fabulous dive sites. Warm water and beautiful comfortable diving with a variety of colorful fish, coral & sea life. The trip was well organized and every thing was planned appropriately. Couldn’t ask for anything more.
Had a great time aboard of the Emporer Divers boat in the Red Sea. We went down South, beautiful colourful small fish and coral, massive bright red nudie branches, sea grass munching turtles. Easy and comfortable diving at beautiful dive sites!
Excellent dive guides and instructors on the Emperor Elite. Lucy did the best briefings I've ever had. Very informative, visual, clear and fun! Ahmed took us diving in St John's caves to the best places, pointing at us a lot of marine life we would have missed. Overall the staff is very friendly, and professional. Briefings mentioned the importance of having good buoyancy and not touching marine life. I wish there had been a briefing before the snorkeling we did with dolphins though, on the best way to get in the water... The staff was very helpful with the equipment, and always in good spirits. The upper cabins were very comfortable, would recommend taking one of these, as there was a diesel smell in the lower deck and main deck. Or you need to keep port holes opened at all times if downstairs. Overall very good value for money with all fees, Nitrox, and transfers included, even if arriving at the furthest away airport.
Excellent séjour qui a permis de découvrir le sud de la mer rouge et ces merveilles. Nous avons eu la chance de tomber sur un requin longimane en plongée, des dauphins nous on fait de jolis spectacles lorsque nous étions sur le bateau. Nous avons pu observer des raies, ainsi que de nombreux poissons de la mer rouge sur des récifs tous différents et impressionnants. Nous avons également pu passer le brevet padi nitrox à bord du bateau. D’autres plongeurs ont passé leur niveau padi deepdiver. Équipage extrêmement attentionné. Bateau toujours tenu très propre. Cuisine de très bonne qualité et en quantité, fait sur place par 3 cuisiniers. Guide très sérieux. Bon humeur sur le bateau. Briefings très clairs. Très bonne organisation. Un seul bémol, des retours d’odeur de gazoil quand le vent n’est pas en notre faveur dans les cabines du bas. Nous n’avons qu’une envie c’est de repartir. Merci également à Isabelle Barbier de Seecrush pour la gestion de notre séjour. Très bonne réactivité et communication au top.

Conservation
The company opened the first PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Centre in Egypt in 1992, at the head of which was the first female PADI Course Director. The team conducts regular ocean clean-ups, and supports numerous NGOs such as Sea Save Foundation, the Turtle Foundation, Green Fins, and more.

Marine Life

Egypt's reefs are home to over 1000 fish species, 20% of which are endemic to the Red Sea. With a varied topography, stunning wrecks, and incredible marine life, Egypt caters to all levels of divers. Get ready to drift dive on dramatic walls and pinnacles.

If you go to the South, you'll see some exciting pelagic life with thresher sharks, oceanic white-tips, and some hammerhead sharks!

In the deep south, near Sudan, keep an eye out for bottlenose dolphins, hammerheads again, leopard sharks, manta rays, and more!
Dive Conditions
- Season: You can dive in the Red Sea year-round. September to November (autumn) and March to May (spring) are excellent times to go, with warm air and water temperatures
- Currents: Little to medium currents depending on the itinerary you choose - ask us
- Visibility: 15 bis 35 m
- Water Temperature: Ranges 22° bis 30°C . Colder temperatures are from December to February (winter season)

Dive Sites

In the Northern Red Sea, the most famous dive sites are Shark and Yolanda Reef, Ras Mohamed National Park, and the SS Thistlegorm, a ship that sank in 1941 bombed by German aviation, stretching over 128 meters long (420 ft).

In the Southern Red Sea, the most famous dive sites are Big Brother, Daedalus, and Elphinstone Reef. The reefs are healthier than in the north, and the topography is varied, with deep walls, tunnels, and even a few wrecks to look at!

In the Deep South Red Sea, St. John's Reef and the marine parks of Zabargad and Rocky islands are relatively remote and not visited frequently by liveaboards. The area offers what is considered the most spectacular diving in Egypt with varied topography and some big pelagic life as you get closer to Sudan.
